5k= 3.1 Miles
10k= 6.2 miles
Half Marathon= 13.1 miles

PR stands for Personal Record. This means the time you ran a specific distance the fastest.
BQ stands for Boston qualifying. If a runner got a BQ that means they ran fast enough to qualify to run the Boston Marathon
Large races have designated starting corrals where you will enter and wait for your turn to start.
Short, intense runs repeated several times with short breaks in between. The breaks can be walking or jogging.
During a run of multiple miles, the time it took to run a mile. Negative splits means you are getting faster with each mile.
