We all know that running involves putting one foot in front of the other, but running is so much more than that. Here are tips to start your running journey.
Anyone can be a runner with training and consistency.
Start by alternating between running and walking. Run what you can and then walk when needed.
Little by little you will find you need less walk breaks.
Start with a mile or 2 and build up your mileage as you increase your running.
Start planning your interval times. Example, run for 3 minutes, walk for 30 seconds.
Set a goal: a great first goal is to run a 5k (3.1 miles).
It might seem like some people can run so easily, but it never starts out that way. It is always hard work, but totally worth it. So don't get discouraged.
