How often should you train?

Minimum 3 times a week

Build up your mileage each week with a goal of a 10 mile run.  Make sure to take a day of rest after a long training run.

One long run a week

2-3 short runs a week of 3 miles


Find a training plan that works for you. Stick with it.


Remember that nutrition plays a large part in running. Choose a healthy diet or protein and carbs.

Setting the goal

Pick a race and set the date . Make sure you give yourself enough time to train. It should be at least 4 months away.
