If you have been following along with my Dopey Challenge journey you know I ran into knee problems (no pun intended). You can read my 5k and 10k recaps here. I woke up at 3:15am for the third morning in a row. I KT Taped the bajeebers out of my knee and it felt a lot better. My costume was Donald Duck. I had a really good time making this one. I made the little hat by hand. I sewed a white skirt and put the feathers on and the pants and tank are from Athleta. I then decorated the tank with the big bow that I made and trim. The Disney World Half Marathon course is the same as Princess Half. It starts near Epcot and runs down to Magic Kingdom, you make a loop through park, out by the Grand Floridian, and then head back to Epcot.
The race started at 5:30am. When my corral was sent off I started running and wasn’t super sure how my knee would be, but it actually felt great! I was a little nervous to stop for long picture lines in fear that it would lock up on me so I stopped for some quick selfies instead. Of course I had to take the traditional pic with the Magic Kingdom toll plaza.
I laughed and then felt a little bad for this random lady who has a great picture other then me, the crazy person in the Donald Duck costume next to her. I’m sorry random lady!
Running through the castle is always a highlight even though I rarely get a good picture of it. Lol
Did you run the Walt Disney World Half Marathon?

Adorable! Although I am cracking up at Cinderella’s cold weather gown.
Looks like you had a blast! I only ran the full, but I have a feeling the half would have been more my style.
