Walt Disney World 5k 2017- Dopey Challenge

I got to run the Disney World 5k with my 12 year old niece.  It was her first runDisney race, so of course I had to organize matching costumes for us.  I was doing the Dopey Challenge, so the 5k was the first of the 4 races I was running.

The race starts in the Epcot parking lot and heads backstage until you enter Epcot near Mexico.

Minnie Mouse was over in Italy and because we were dressed as Minnie we had to stop for a pic.

I take awful race photos, but I thought this race photo of my niece was super cute. 

And of course an Epcot selfie with Spaceship Earth is a runDisney must.

The runDisney 5k medals are now actually metal instead of the rubberized plastic like they use to be.

We had a great time running.  I am so happy to have shared it with my niece and she can’t wait to do another race with me.
