TREVI- Delicious Italian in the heart of The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Las Vegas- Travel With Half Crazy Mama

The drinks were great, the food was delicious and the ambience was nice.  TREVI Italian Restaurant at The Forum Shops in Caesars Palace gets all my praise.

While on a media tour in Las Vegas with fellow bloggers TheLateFarmer, RealMomma and DailyDishMagazine, we had the pleasure of dining at TREVI.  They are located at the center of the 3 spokes inside The Forum Shops.  They have a bar, indoor tables and also the “patio” which is under the “sky”.  If you have been to The Forum Shops before you know what I am talking about (and if you haven’t, The Forum Shops are actually indoors, but painted like the sky and change colors).  This is the view from our table with no filter.photo 2To drink I picked this delicious adult beverage: STRAWBERRY LIMEADE! Malibu Rum and Kinky Liqueur with fresh strawberries, lime, orange and pineapple juicesphoto 3We started with bruschetta topped with tomatoes and shaved parmigiana and the crab, spinach, artichoke dip.  Both were delicious.photo 3Next we shared the autumn salad with endive, arugula and chicory, cranberry vinaigrette, candied walnuts, roasted butternut squash, gorgonzola, smoked prosciutto and fig jam crostini.  We had caesar salad as well.  Again, both salads were so great.  I had never had butternut squash in a salad before and I feel a new recipe coming on because it was yummy.photo 1For my entree I had the chicken parmigiana served with linguine pomodoro.  I am a huge Italian food fan and order chicken parmigiana regularly and this was one of the best I have had.  The breading was very well done and the sauce was a perfect balance.photo 2At the table we had the Penne Diavolo with had grilled chicken, mushrooms, sun-dried tomato with a spicy tomato cream sauce.

photo 5Also the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare, TREVI’s signature dish-“A medley of lobster, shrimp, scallops, tomatoes and scallions in a wonderful seafood cream sauce”

photo 1We shared a couple desserts, one was an Italian cream cake with coconut.  The other was the Chocolate Gooey Cake which had a melted hot chocolate center, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla gelato.  Both were a perfect sweet ending to the meal, but no Italian meal should end without some espresso.photo 4The staff was so friendly, the food was delicious and the ambiance was really fun.  I definitely recommend dinning at TREVI Las Vegas.
