I ran my 3rd Tinker Bell Half Marathon and I fall more in love with this race every year. I dressed up as the INKnBURN version of Tinker Bell with lightup wings. If any of you have seen the Tinker Bell movie and remember her making her clothes out of some leafs than you will understand why I thought the INKnBURN leaf shirt was perfect for this costume.
The race started at 5:00am which was quite early. There were fireworks during the Star Spangled Banner in grand runDisney fashion. There wasn’t any during the race start though. We set out making a loop around some of the outside streets around Disneyland before entering the parks.
First up was California Adventure and I found the Incredibles.
Next we ran through Hollywood. Here is a selfie while running 🙂
We made our way over to Cars Land and I snapped a quick pic with Radiator Springs Racers in the background.
The World of Color fountains were lit up over in the Paradise Pier area and were so pretty in the dark hours of the early morning. I love the Mickey Sun Wheel.
We headed over to Disneyland and right there on Main Street I found Tink! I thought this picture was funny because it looks like Captain Hook and Smee are plotting against me or something.
I found my homeboy Peter Pan and Wendy over in Fantasyland. It was super cute because the Lost Boys were there riding around on the carousel.
Running towards Small World at the back of Fantasyland I found Cinderella.
And right next to Cinderella was Rapunzel and Flynn.
Small World was still all lit up Christmas style and was beautiful.
We made some loops around various parts of the park and through backstage area and worked our way over to Frontierland where I found Big Al. P.S. After all these years I am STILL bummed that Country Bear Jamboree is gone from Disneyland.
Over in New Orleans Square Jack Sparrow was there with a really short line!
Captain Jack was the last character as we left the park.
I loved the course because most of the first 6ish miles were in the parks. The lines for characters were super short (at least when I passed them they were). I have ran all 3 Tinker Bell Half Marathons and have an even better time every year.
The crowd support at runDisney races can’t be beat. I felt great running during this race even after running the Dopey Challenge the weekend before and I also ran the Tink 10k the day before this race. I had a BLAST!
Here is my 3rd pair of wings 🙂
And of course, my daughter was really excited about my medal and being a total goofball when I got back to the hotel room. This isn’t her normal smile, this is her being a goofball smile 😉

Congrats on completing Tinkerbell! Your outfit is super cute. I’m trying to make my mom a tinkerbell-ish outfit for PHM ( she won’t have wings though)!

Again, many congrats on another Tink finish! Love the InknBurn leaf shirt, I’ve been drooling over their website!!! Do you wear Hoka’s?

The Tink have is on my bucketlist, so I can do a race in both Disney World and Disneyland. I had no idea there were Incredible characters! Thats awesome. I think I see more unique characters during these races than I ever do when strolling around the actual parks

I ran the inaugural race and was so bummed that I never saw Tink. Looks like you had some great photo ops this year.
Half Crazy Mama | 21st Jan 14
I felt the same way the Inaugural year. The race gets better each year in my opinion. This year was my favorite for sure. Lots of fun characters.

Super congrats to you! This was my first Tink and first half and it was awesome! I kept yelling “best feeling ever!” on the course. I can’t wait for Wine and Dine so I can get my c2c

I’m sure you know where a few critters from the Country Bear Jamboree can be found still hanging around, right?
Half Crazy Mama | 23rd Jan 14
You mean our friends that hang out in the Winnie the Pooh ride 😉
