If you follow along regularly you know I’m an avid reader. I have already finished 56 books in 2021. I frequently share some of my favorite ones, so here they are. They come from all different genres.
People We Meet On Vacation– This book is by Emily Henry, who is the author of the popular book Beach Read. I didn’t love Beach Read, but really enjoyed People We Meet On Vacation. Its a great easy summer book.
The Nightingale– This book is by Kristin Hannah, who also wrote Firefly Lane and The Great Alone. The Nightingale is a WWII historical fiction and is incredibly well written.
Malibu Rising– This is the newest book by author Taylor Jenkins Reid. She also wrote Daisy Jones & The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, both books I loved! This newest book is no exception either. I really enjoyed it. There are a few character mentions from other books, which is fun too.
The Queen’s Gambit– This was made into a very popular Netflix series. I thought the book was really good and no, I’m not a huge chess person and I still really enjoyed it.
Educated– This is a fascinating memoir about a girl who grew up in rural Idaho, raised by survivalist parents. She beat all odds and this book will definitely make your jaw drop at times of what happened to this girl and her family.
Cilka’s Journey– This is book 2, like a sequel, to The Tattooist of Auschwitz. If you haven’t read Tattooist definitely start there, but if you have I encourage you to now read Cilka’s Journey.
The Wife Upstairs– If you love a good thriller/suspense book, this is one for you.
Infinite Country– This book was a good read. It is only around 200 pages, but if you enjoyed American Dirt, this gave me the same kind of feels as that.
The Heiress Gets A Duke– If you enjoy a historical romance that is slightly cheesy, but not too bad, this is a great one.
Most of these books were actually Book of the Month Club picks. I love being a member of BOTM. Click here if you want to give it a try. They often have books before they are released to the general public and they are all hardbound books for a fraction of the price.
