Star Wars 5k 2016 Race Recap

The runDisney Star Wars 5k started at 5:30am.  My favorite thing about Disneyland races though is staying close enough to walk to the race.  No buses!!! 

I put on my X-Wing pilot costume and headed out.

The course starts and you come into the parks from the backstage area behind Toontown.  Right there was Chewbacca with a crazy long line.Castle selfies are always a must.  That is why we pay these crazy prices for runDisney races after all isn’t it?Star Wars Rebels were in Tomorrowland.My favorite little droid BB8 was in Hollywood at California Adventure. There were some stormtroopers hanging out in front of the winery.

Not the droids you are looking for…but some other ones were out! R2D2 and C3PO were in California Adventure near the entrance into Cars Land.  I LOVED C3PO! There was actually a person in the costume and talked using fancy shmancy technology.  Loved it!!!The lines for the characters were long, so you either need to be a fast runner to be able to make it to all of them, or just pick one.I had a good time.  I really loved the course and the medal is pretty retroly (I totally made that word up) awesome!  I ran the Rebel Challenge (10k and half marathon) the following 2 days, so stay tuned for those recaps.
