I still remember my first ski lesson. I was 4 years old. It was at Alpine Meadows in Lake Tahoe and there was only one other little girl in my class and her name was Caitlin. I even remember we ate graham crackers and jam as our snack.
Skiing is something I grew up doing in Lake Tahoe with my dad and cousins. My husband grew up in upstate New York and was on skis at an early age. We were both super excited about our little monkey’s first day of ski school. She is 5 and was really eager to try skiing. The ski school was from 10am-3:30pm and I was a little worried that it would be too long. We watched as she was a natural at balancing on skis, sidestepping, skating, and pizza pieing her way down the bunny slope. It was amazing, but by 2:45 she was exhausted and ask if it was done yet and if she could do it again tomorrow.
It was an amazing experience and she is getting a private lesson in the morning tomorrow before we do the rest of our Tahoe activities. Do you remember your first day on skis?
