I always love encouraging people to run. My friend Cam was a little on the fence, but she decided to run the Tinker Bell 10k with me. I promised her she could do it because I knew she could…she just needed a little convincing. I was a little worried when it started raining as soon as I left the hotel early Saturday morning. The race started at 5:30am and luckily the rain stopped just in time.
I really like the Tinker Bell 10k course because you get a lot of park time. Over 4 miles of the 6.2 are legitimately in the park.
The only characters out along the course were Tinker Bell and her 5 fairy friends.
This was Cam’s first 10k ever. I decided to reuse my Snow White costume circa Princess Half 2013, but make it into Snow White fairy. Cam didn’t disappoint when she created her fairy Evil Queen costume with homemade black wings and all!
We stopped for some selfies and a few pictures along the way.
There were lots of helpful cast members to assist with the picture taking.
We finished the race and I think Cam had a great time. I am very proud of her and I can’t wait to make her run a half marathon with me 😉
I love encouraging friends and helping them run their first longer distance race. Do you?
