runDisney Medals
I have had some people ask some questions about runDisney medals, so why not write a post about the awesome runDisney bling!
First, yes, runDisney medals are metal with the exception of the 5ks and the kids races. The 10 miler, half marathons, full marathon and now the addition of the 10ks are all metal. As are the Coast to Coast and Challenge medals. The 5ks and kid race medals are called “medallions” and are made of a rubberized plastic.
In runDisney tradition they typically redo a medal every 5 years, so for a couple years the medal will remain the same with just a different color lanyard until a 5 year mark.
The runDisney medals are top of the line and beautiful. They are good size, heavy and in my opinion some of the best race bling out there.

I love all of them, but I totally agree. It will be hard for any medal to top the 20th anniversary marathon medal. I can’t wait to see what they do for 25 year anniversary. hehe

I love the 20th Anni. and Goofy Medals. But my favorite that I have is Tinker Bell! I like my C2C for what it stands for, but I think on appearance alone I like Tinker Bell more!

I can’t wait for the Alice 10k medal and Dumbo! Both look so amazing in the pictures, can’t wait till they’re on my wall!

Me too! My 3 year old is VERY into Alice right now, so I have a feeling that she will give me back my Princess Half medal in exchange for my Disneyland 10k medal when she sees it. 🙂

You have some beautiful race bling there! Thanks for sharing these photos, I haven’t seen some of them until now and they are gorgeous! I’d say that my favorite is the Princess Half medal because it’s my first half marathon medal and my only runDisney medal. I’m excited to add 5 more runDisney medals to my collection this year!

I just realized it will be SIX more! How could I forget that I’m running the WDW Marathon (long day!)
