runDisney D2.3 Fun Run Meetup Recap- The D23Expo

I had the pleasure of attending the runDisney D2.3 Mile Fun Run at the beginning of The D23 Expo- The Ultimate Fan Event.

We all met in front of the Anaheim Convention Center, which is where The D23 Expo was happening.  It was an early morning run.  We were told to meet there at 5:30am for check in and were given a bag with our shirts in it to wear for our run.

Ali Vincent, who was the first female winner of the Biggest Loser and who has a show called Live Big With Ali Vincent, was there to run with us.  Ali was at the runDisney Tinker Bell Half Meetup I was at in January and I always find her so fun, energetic and inspiring.

Sorcerer Mickey came out to greet us too!

Bob, PR Manager and Content Producer from runDisney, who runs (no pun intended) all the meetups started out the run and asked for a show of hands of who had never ran a runDisney race.  There actually WAS people there who had never “runDisney” before!  I bet they will now 🙂

We crossed Katella Ave to California Adventure and ran through backstage and made a loop around the park.  We did a run/walk/run Galloway method.

After we returned to the convention center we were told we have a special surprise for us in our bags.  It was the runDisney Vinylmation and a special D23 medal for its neck!!! Word is only 100 of the D23 runDisney Vinylmation medals were made.  I am very excited about this since I have all the little medals from all the runDisney races.

I always have such a great time at all the runDisney events and love to be able to share them with you.
