runDisney Cruise Offers Chance at Two More Medals for Marathon Week

runDisney announced today a new challenge that involves a cruise after Walt Disney World Marathon week in January.

“Are you ready to set sail on a Disney Cruise? Today, we are excited to invite you to join us at the Inaugural Disney Castaway Cay Challenge during the 2015 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna!”- From the runDisney Blog

Here are some more details:

“The race fee will include a race bib, t-shirt, 5k Medal, Challenge Medal and a post race refreshment. There will also be exclusive activities designed for runDisney guests, plus featured menu items and special merchandise, just for the cruise! The entry fee does not, however, include your cruise booking, which will have to be made separately through Disney Cruise Line.

Challenge registration opens Friday, May 23 at Noon ET. Complete details, including registration and booking procedures, are available now on the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend event page. We hope to see you sailing away this January during Inaugural Disney Castway Cay Challenge!”

I have always wanted to go on a Disney Cruise and quite frankly after running 48.6 miles for the Dopey Challenge, a cruise sounds amazing. (Plus 2 more medals for a grand total of 8 is pretty nice.)

I need to open a new bank account that will just send all my money to runDisney.

Anyone else thinking a cruise after marathon weekend sounds pretty amazing?

Oh my goodness!!!! I would LOVE to do this!!!! I wish there was a lottery that I could win that would pay for every run I want to sign up for!!!

I would love to go on that cruise! Disney cruises are amazing! I’m going to WDW Marathon Weekend with a group of friends and I don’t know if I can convince any of them to go with me, especially since it’s their first time to Orlando and they may want to visit all the theme parks on this trip.

Disney World is so much fun and there is so much to do there too. Hopefully one of them will take the plunge with you. Ending Marathon weekend with a cruise sounds so nice. I’m ready to go right now. Haha
