runDisney Announces new 10k and Glass Slipper Challenge for Princess Half Weekend

Ok, so if you are excited about this news raise your hand!  I’m a sucker for anything runDisney with the word Challenge at the end of it.  I have ran the Goofy Challenge twice and I am currently registered for the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge and the Dopey Challenge, so this announcement is right up my running alley!

runDisney has announced the addition of a 10k to the Princess Half Marathon weekend February 20-23, 2014.  So there will now be the kids races, the 5k, 10k, and the half marathon.  They also announced the Glass Slipper Challenge which will be for completing the 10k and the half marathon you get a special medal.  ALSO they announced the new special Coast to Coast medal which has a pink overlay and pink lanyard.  This will be for completing the Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland and the Princess Half at Walt Disney World.  Since I run all the runDisney races I earn my Coast to Coast at the Tink Half after running in WDW Marathon weekend, so my question is since I will earn the normal C2C medal, does this mean I will not get the special pink one for running the Tink and Princess Half?  By their normal rules that is true because you can only get one C2C medal in a calendar year.  I wonder if this will be an exception or if I would earn my normal C2C at the Disneyland Half than after running Dopey Challenge and the Dumbo Challenge.  I will be interested to hear what runDisney has to say.
