President Jimmy Carter Experienced runDisney Before runDisney Even Existed

I always love stumbling on something cool.  I was reading an old article from the OC Register about Presidential visits to Anaheim and I got a big smile on my face when I saw this.  Jimmy Carter taking an early morning jogging tour of Disneyland. 

“Jimmy Carter, second from left, is believed to be the only president to run at Disneyland before it opened. He was out of office when he took this run in 1982. Carter, who was president from 1977 to 1981, was attending a convention at the Disneyland Hotel.”

He got to experience runDisney before runDisney was even a thing!  Let’s face it, the best part about runDisney races is running in the parks before they are open.  Welcome to the club, that you kind’ve unknowingly founded President Jimmy Carter!
