The Phone Case That Saved my iPhone 6 From Destruction- LifeProof fre iPhone 6 Case Review and Giveaway

LifeProof provide me with a case to review and a case to giveaway, but I was not paid for this post. All opinions are always my own.

FullSizeRenderI ran the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World and decided to bring the new LifeProof fre case along to try. I am SO glad I did.  My shiny new iPhone 6 would’ve been toast had I not.  While running my iPhone provides my music and is also my camera.  If you run Disney then you probably understand why you want a camera along with you.  In past races I have seen a bad handoff of phone to workers and back to runners that result in the phone crashing to the ground and cracking the screen.  I have also been caught in freak rainstorms while Florida.  For these 2 reasons is why I decided to put the new LifeProof fre case to the test.

FullSizeRenderLifeProof fre is the thinest case that provides durability I have ever seen.  It is also super lightweight.  The built-in scratch protector keeps the display brilliant without inhibiting touchscreen functionality. Every device feature is accessible and full functionality remains intact, including Touch ID.  LifeProof fre is both waterproof to 6.6 feet for one hour and drop proof to 6.6 feet and completely enclosed from dirt when the case and all ports are properly sealed.

FullSizeRenderDuring the full marathon around mile 20, out of the middle of no where, it started pouring rain.  There is no way my phone would’ve survived had I not had it in the LifeProof case.  The forecast that morning had not called for rain, but it just shows that you never know.  Around mile 24 I was exhausted and accidentally dropped my phone as I was running.  As if that wasn’t bad enough I also kicked it once it hit the ground.  I picked it up and there wasn’t even a scratch!

You can see the phone in my hand here in front of the castle.  The case is thin and lightweight enough to run holding it in my hand.

This fall onto cement would’ve cracked my screen had it not been in the LifeProof case.  For these 2 reasons I will never run with my iPhone out of a LifeProof case ever again. I would hate to have to pay to have a cracked screen replaced or a phone ruined by water damage.

FullSizeRenderLifeProof has provided me the opportunity to giveaway a case to one of you guys!  The giveaway is for one LifeProof iPhone or Samsung case (pending colors available for specific phone model at time of giveaway).  LifeProof fre for iPhone 6, LifeProof fre for iPhone 5/5s, or LifeProof fre for Samsung Galaxy S5.  Enter below:

I’ve dropped my phone a couple times. The sides are all scratched up. Thankfully not the screen. Thanks for the chance to win!

Wishing I would’ve had a life proof during the WDW Marathon!!

I have had many close calls with my phone. I am the waterfront director at a summer camp and between being on the dock and sailboats there are many times that this would have put my mind at ease. I also love running and place my phone in a ziplock whenever the weather is bad. Thanks for the opportunity to enter this amazing giveaway.

Thank you!!! We think it won’t happen, but those unexpected rains or drops call for a great case like this.

I am so clumsy! I was SOOO nervous during the WDW Marathon and when it started to rain had to put the phone away which was a pain to do. Great giveaway.

I just received the new iPhone 6 for Christmas. I haven’t had really any close calls with it yet. I try not to carry it just in my hand only and make sure it is secure in my purse pocket, etc. I am running the Glass Slipper Challenge next month and after reading your your review I think I need to not risk it and get something sturdy for my phone. I usually run with it in one of those arm bands but taking it on and off and pulling phone out for pictures might cause it to slip out of my hands and fall!

This would’ve been a big help during Wine & Dine! Luckily my phone survived, but it was close.

This looks like a great case! I’m about to get an iPhone 6 and I am beginning to run in 5Ks. Have to start somewhere, right? Do you have a post about comparing what fitness band is the best? I’m trying to figure out if I want a Garmin, Fitbit, or a Nike band. Thanks!
