I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pier 1 Imports. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.

We moved into a new house this winter that has a big backyard.  This is something we didn’t have at our old house. I was so excited to finally set up our outdoor oasis and do some summer entertaining now that the weather is warm.  I visited Pier 1 Imports and found a HUGE selection of gorgeous outdoor products.

My daughter loved all the lanterns and helped me set them all up.  Pier 1 Imports has paper and glass lanterns in all different colors and styles.  I want to go back and get more.  They are such an fun an festive touch to an outdoor party. Some people are afraid to create a statement outside because… it’s outside! But this is the opportunity to be bold and go beyond your comfort zone. Anything goes!

I invited my 4 best friends and their spouses over to enjoy our newly decorated outdoor oasis.  10 is the perfect number for an outdoor celebration. My girlfriends were immediately drawn to the fun throw pillows. The textures and colors create a great atmosphere.

Pier 1 Imports has a big selection of throw pillows that are made to be outdoors.  They are UV-protected and weather-resistant, unlike normal throw pillows.  The colors, patterns and textures of the them all were beautiful.  I really want to go back and get more.  My friends were obsessed with them and had no idea that throw pillows even existed that were made for the outdoors.

I made one of my favorite summer recipes; roasted tomato, garlic, basil and arugula salad topped with burrata and balsamic glaze.  It was delicious.

I paired our food with some white wine.  It was a perfect accompaniment to the salad.  I got these super cute glasses at Pier 1 Imports that look like fancy wine glasses, but are actually plastic.  I loved that they still look elegant, but we wouldn’t have any broken glass. Pier 1 Imports’ outdoor dinnerware and drinkware is pretty enough for indoors but tough enough for outdoors.

Everyone had a great time enjoying our new outdoor oasis and no one wanted the night to end.  We decided we need to have parties in our outdoor oasis all summer long.
