I was given a room to review, but I was not paid for this post. All opinions are always my own.
A hotel can make or break a whole racecation (race vacation). I recently visited Boulder, Colorado for the first time to run the BolderBOULDER 10k. The race is the 4th largest in the US with 50,000 runners. With that big of a race finding the right hotel is key. I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Boulder-North. I’ll just start by saying it was FANTASTIC! It completely exceeded all my expectations.
There was a vanity and sink outside of the the bathroom, which had a shower/tub combo.
Having a kitchenette is always a bonus on a race weekend. It had a bar sink, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge.
Hampton Inn & Suites Boulder-North was only about 6 miles from the race. It was perfectly situated away from the course, so I didn’t have to deal with road closures when I drove in. I easily found parking both at the hotel and at the race.
One of my favorite parts though is the breakfast! Hampton Inn & Suites is known for their hot breakfast in the morning. I was in one of the first waves for the race start though and needed to leave the hotel at 5:30am. When I went in the lobby to head to my car they had a bagged grab and go breakfast for the runners, since some of us had a very early start! In it was a breakfast bar, muffin, apple, bottled water, and even napkins. They thought of everything. I run a lot of races around the country and it is rare to have a hotel take such great care of the runners like Hampton Inn & Suites Boulder-North did.
Side note: I’m totally obsessed with the coffee jackets they have! My coffee looked like such a tourist race morning. 🙂
Hampton Inn & Suites Boulder-North has a great indoor pool and hot tub.
They also have a very nice fitness room.
Hampton Inn & Suites Boulder-North was fantastic. It was the affordable, friendly, clean, convenient, and exceeded all my expectations. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are heading to the Boulder area.
