I ran the Walt Disney World Marathon dressed as Cinderella, as some of you know from my pictures. I thought I would share just how easy it was.
First I found a light blue running tank and sewed on the cap sleeves. Just fold the fabric kind of like a tube to make the cap sleeve shape, sew and voila! (The shirt is a little wrinkled because this is a post run picture)
Next, to simplify life, I bought an already made light blue #TeamSparkle skirt from Sparkle Athletic and than I did the same fabric as the cap sleeves for the side poofs on the skirt.
I also got the white sparkle sleeves from Sparkle Athletic.
I added a black ribbon around my neck like Cinderella’s choker and I was done 🙂
It is really that easy, but makes a pretty obvious costume.
Check out the rest of my runDisney race recaps for more costume inspirations. Happy running!

Cute! It is hard for me sometimes coming up with ideas of how to do costumes. The how to is a good thing. Will I see you at Princess? 😉

Making disney running costumes is SO much fun! Yours looks amazing! I have a cinderella costume made for the royal family 5K, but it’s pretty simple!

I love your costume! Simple, not likely to be bothersome during a long race, and so stinkin’ cute! I’ve been running and racing in everything from sprint tri’s to marathons for going on 17 years. My fondest athletic wish is to participate in a runDisney event. Thanks for the inspiration!

Lisa, your definitely need to run at least 1 runDisney race. They are so fun and incredibly well organized. Congrats on the 17 years running 🙂

Mine was made by Nike. I usually have good luck finding random colors for costumes with Under Armour too. Good luck 🙂
