I Love My Smoothies

Last year I got a Vitamix and I am still in love with it.  I regularly make “green” smoothies.  They help me when I’m feeling a little run down.  They give me a good boost of energy.  They also help clean me out a little (TMI).

I thought I would share some of my favorite things to put in my smoothies.  Whatever you have in your kitchen is great.  I don’t always have all of these ingredients, but some combo of them.

Spinach
Banana
Orange
Kale
Carrots
Cucumber
Blueberries
Pineapple
Beets
Raspberries
Strawberries
Celery
Chia Seed
Hemp Seed
Protein Powder
Nonfat Greek Yogurt
Coconut Water
Almond Milk
Almond Butter

If you can’t find fresh berries, frozen berries are GREAT.

I usually add a few ice cubes and blend.  They are all delicious no matter what the combination is.
