Innovation is what drives our world. It is time to start thinking about summer camp and I want a day camp that sparks creativity, fosters learning, but most importantly fun! My daughter will be 6 by summer and is all about trying new things and learning about EVERYTHING.
My little monkey and I had to make cookies for her Valentine’s Day party at school. She, of course, wanted to help me. We mixed the ingredients together and made the sugar cookie dough. We rolled them out and little monkey was in charge of using the heart cookie cutter to make 24 cookies.
Little monkey had watched a video of a lady who makes really elaborate designs on her sugar cookies using frosting and swirling them with a toothpick. My little monkey wanted to do this to the Valentine’s Day cookies. I said of course, but I wanted to make sure she realized that the lady in the video had lots of practice so ours may not be quite as perfect in the beginning and that is totally ok. I explained to little monkey that the cookies would taste delicious no matter what they looked liked and mistakes are just part of learning. Mistakes are marvelous.
