Inaugural Walt Disney World 10k Recap

For the new Minnie Mouse medal race, the Inaugural Walt Disney World 10k, I dressed up as Minnie Mouse.  I wore my Minnie INKnBURN skirt and sewed ribbons onto a black Under Armour tank.  My visor is from Sparkle Athletic.

The race started at 5:30am and was my second of four races for the Dopey Challenge.

When the race started we ran a loop on the roads near Epcot.

The first characters I found was Peter Pan and Wendy.  While I was in line for them, they swapped out and I got Captain Hook and Mr. Smee.

Around mile 3 we made our way into Epcot between Norway and China.  I found Mushu there and I had to stop because my daughter loves the movie Mulan.

Next I found my fellow INKnBURN ambassador Jill and stopped for a picture with Genie.  She has her cute little baby bump in tow too!

We exited Epcot and made our way to Boardwalk.  Right by ESPN was football Goofy.

We ran around the bay passing Yacht and Beach Club and than into the baskstage area of Epcot.  Once back in Epcot I found Chip and Dale.

I, of course, had to do the Spaceship Earth selfie.

The race was fun and I love having the Inaugural Minnie Mouse Walt Disney World 10k medal.

The crowd support at runDisney races is always so wonderful.

After the race they had Donald, Daisy, Minnie Mouse and Pluto for photos.  The lines were all very long, but Daisy’s was the shortest so I waited.

My ankle started bothering me on this race, so I had it KT Taped for the half marathon tomorrow.

If there is a ridiculous amount of typos I’m sorry.  I’m writing this after running the half marathon and I’m slightly delirious 😉
