I’ve been working on putting this together for a while, but I am happy to say that the first 3 videos are on YouTube! I get a lot of questions about how I find the pieces for my costumes or how I made them, so I decided to make a series of videos. Live on YouTube are the videos of me talking about and breaking down my Aurora costume, Snow White costume, and Belle costume. What I learned while making these videos is that I need to wear more flattering clothes! haha
Stay tuned for more videos!

I love your costumes! It’s incredible how many you’ve made and are able to keep coming up with new ones. When I started making Disney running costumes, I drew inspiration online, including how you put some of your previous costumes together. I ended up with a set of Dopey Challenge costumes that turned out terrific. For next weekend, I have Woody finished, but I had to draw the checkered pattern on his shirt with a fabric marker and I still need to test if the ink will run. The marker box’s instructions say to run over it with an iron for four minutes to make the ink permanently set. It’s the 60th anniversary of Disneyland, 10th anniversary of the Disneyland half marathon and 20th anniversary of Toy Story.
My other costume is if I can make some fiery hair, I have the rest of Anger from Inside Out ready. I wonder how many others will run as Inside Out characters and whether we’ll spot each other? It’s going to be a fun (but hot) weekend!

I used fabric marker when I made my Jessie costume and it bled a little, but stayed enough for the race and didn’t discolor my skin. That was my biggest concern. I have a post on my Jessie costume if you use the search bar to the right. Good luck!

I ironed my shirt and then sprayed water on one of the lines. The ink didn’t run, so fingers crossed it’ll survive on race day. This is the first time I used fabric markers.
