Creature report, creature report, CREATURE REPORT!
If you just sang that song as you read it than you have an Octonauts lover in your house too. My daughter loves the Octonauts. We watch the show on Disney Junior regularly. I enjoy the show because it is educational as well as entertaining. The Octonauts was even nominated for an International Emmy Award. For the first time on DVD, “Here Come the Octonauts!” is available January 7th. You can enter my giveaway for a chance to win a copy!
Captain Barnacles, Kwazii, Peso, Dashi, Shellington and the rest of the Octonauts crew help protect and save creatures of the ocean. In “Here Come the Octonauts!” there are small episodes that make up the movie. In one episode Peso the penguin, who is the medic and my favorite, helps a walrus chief who is hurt. Another episode involves baby sea snakes and the Octonauts have to help save them. Each episode is super cute and educational about a different creature in the ocean.
Here are some fun coloring pages of the Octonauts characters that you can print at DisneyJunior.com. My daughter loved coloring the different Octonauts characters as she watched the movie.
The Octonauts have partnered with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to work jointly to raise awareness of ocean exploration and science and advance NOAA’s mission. The partnership, which extends learning beyond the screen, includes plans for events at aquariums nationwide and joint development of educational materials. My family has a membership at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and it is one of our favorite places to go on family days, so I was very excited to hear about this partnership.
