Before we left for Florida last week we were in Southern California and visited some friends in Malibu. When I met my husband he lived in Malibu. I moved from NorCal (near San Francisco) to Malibu after we got tired of the long distance traveling. For this reason Malibu will always have a special place in my heart. (Not to mention Malibu has great weather 92% of the year).
During our visit our friend Gerry gave our daughter a “surfing” lesson. She has been wanting to learn to surf (even though she is only 3). He put her in the tiny wetsuit and set her up on the boogie board.
My daughter is a total water baby and loves the beach and pools. She had a ball!
After her “surfing” (boogie boarding) lesson and before we had to hop on the road to drive home 6 hours, we splashed in the ocean (which is the Pacific and freezing cold) and played in the sand. My daughter didn’t want to leave. I can’t blame her. I’m always a little sad to leave too.
I can’t wait until we can go back and stay even longer.
Do you have a special place that just makes you feel happy? (other than Disneyland because that is a given) haha

Your daughter’s ‘surfing’ lessons are adorable, she looks very happy! The ocean makes me happy, and come a couple of weeks I’ll be VERY happy!!
