Happy Anniversary

Today Mr. Half Crazy and I celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary.  Time flies…on the other hand it also feels like we have been together for ages.

8 years in total we have spent with each other.  We had been engaged for a year before we got married, but we couldn’t decide on what kind of wedding we wanted.  200 people or 30 people? Malibu or SF Bay area? Fancy or country chic? Maybe a destination wedding?  You get the idea.  After a year of this we decided to tie the knot in our back yard.  I wore a casual dress and flip flops and we just had a few family members and friends there.  My sister, who was previous ordained to marry another friend, married us.

We had always thought we would then plan our wedding for our 5 year anniversary.  Well, here it is and we are still no closer to that wedding.  (I still have my “real” wedding dress hanging in my closet that I haven’t worn yet).  One of these years we will find the right time and place to renew our vows.  We are now talking about a Disney wedding (surprise surprise).  My husband jokes around that we need to do it before my wedding dress starts to decompose.  Haha
