Be Our Guest Restaurant at Walt Disney World- My Visit and A Big Tip

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Walt Disney World in the new Fantasyland expansion, while we were there for WDW Marathon weekend.

HERE IS MY BIG HUGE TIP- Are you ready?  It is currently really hard to get a reservation at Be Our Guest and books up months in advance.  Don’t get super discouraged.  Here is what I have found; since when you make a reservation you have to put a credit card on file, cancellations often happen within the week before hand because peoples plans change and don’t want their credit card charged.  This means cancellations are common.  If you can’t get a reservation check periodically during the days before you want to eat there.  You can check online.  Be flexible with your time, for example, instead of selecting a specific time frame online just select “dinner”.  This is how I’ve been able to get a reservation every time.  This also goes for Cinderella’s Royal Table.

When it is your time to go inside Be Our Guest and sit down, a host gets your party and hands someone a candle holder to carry.  My daughter felt very proud to get to carry the candle holder.

The restaurant is so beautiful.  The thoughtfulness that goes into all the decor is amazing.

There are 3 dining rooms.  We sat in the main ballroom.

For starters we ordered the Mussels Provençal- with White Wine, Tomato, Garlic, Onion, Basil, and Butter.  They were SO delicious!  We also shared the Seasonal Salad Trio which is three individual bowls of: Roasted Beet, Gold Raisin, Orange Salad and Green Bean, Tomato, Roasted Shallot Salad and Watermelon, Radish, and Mint Salad.  That was very good too.

For dinner my husband had the Herb-crusted Lamb Rack served with Buttered Celery Root and Seasonal Vegetables.  We both agreed the lamb was delicious.  I had the Braised Pork which is eight hour slow-cooked Pork with Mushrooms, Onions, Carrots and Bacon served with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans Jardiniere.  It was similar to pot roast.  It was good, but the portion I got was VERY fatty, so I didn’t even end up eating half of it, slightly disappointing.  My daughter chose the pasta with no sauce from the kids menu.

For dessert my husband had the Chocolate Cream Puff which he liked.  My daughter chose the triple chocolate cupcake which looked like chocolate overload.  I had the “Grey Stuff”.  I had to order it simply because it is the “Grey Stuff”.  Sing the song with me from Beauty and the Beast and you will understand the name…”Try the Grey Stuff, it’s delicious, don’t believe me ask the dishes!”.  I’m not entirely sure what it was, but it was similar to mocha whip cream I guess.  haha

Beast walks through the dining rooms in a grand fashion every now and than and you can take a picture with him in the library when you are done with your dinner.  My daughter loves Beast from afar, but not up close so we opted to not do the photo.

All in all I loved our dining experience and would definitely eat at Be Our Guest again.

LOVED seeing your pics! Be Our Guest was our favorite restaurant at Disney so it brought back memories. Your tip is fantastic. People are always missing their reservations too! We got stuck in line for a ride longer than plan and RAN to Be Our Guest. My husband was trying to hold our reservation and they were super strict about it. There were tons of people hoping we wouldn’t make it so they could take our spot, lol. So glad we didn’t miss it. It’s a great experience! Your daughter is a doll 🙂

We didn’t get a chance to eat there when we went in May. We were thinking lunch but the line was soooo long. Next time for sure!

I have a reservation here during PHM and I’m so excited. I’m pretty sure I booked my reservation in October or something crazy like that, and even then, I got one of the only time slots left!

It was booked (even though we kept checking while we were there) last time i went! It looks fabulous, and I definitely WILL go next time for sure. I’ve only heard good things.

Oh no! During the week I just keep checking online every couple hours and have always ended up getting a reservation. I definitely recommend it for your next trip! 🙂
