On a recent media tour of Las Vegas I dined at Sugar Factory inside Paris Las Vegas Hotel. It was hands down the most fun lunch I have ever had!
I was on the media tour with 3 other fun women who blog at The Later Farmer, RealMomma and DailyDishMagazine. None of us had ever dined at Sugar Factory before, but knew they had a huge candy store attached. Honestly, I didn’t really know what to expect.
The ambience inside Sugar Factory is very chic. I loved the style.
We were treated to some fun tastings by the executive Chef Matt Piekarski. First some apps were brought out for us. Here are the descriptions from the Sugar Factory menu:
Fried Macaroni and Cheese– breaded macaroni and cheese, spiced tomato sauce
Crispy Buffalo Chicken– blue cheese fondue, pickled celery
Here is a picture of them along with the yummy Lollipop Passion Goblet.
Tomato Basil Pizza– mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, basil, garlic, extra virgin olive oil
The apps were all yummy. The Buffalo Chicken was like nothing I had ever had before. It seemed like the chicken was shredded and mixed with the buffalo sauce and than rolled in bread crumbs and fried. Just typing this makes me want to hop on a plane and go get some to eat.
Next was a sampling plate that had 2 of their best known dishes:
Chicken and Waffles– signature bacon waffles, buttermilk fried chicken, whipped butter, cinnamon bourbon maple syrup
Spicy Jambalaya– chicken, shrimp, andouille sausage, peppers, onions, rice
Both were delicious with great flavor. I loved that the Chicken and Waffles was breast strips, so no bones were involved. It is a lot easier to eat with a knife and fork.
Chef Matt was so great and we even got him to take a pic with us 🙂
Bar Manager and drink master Greg is a drink genius. He also “makes the best Bloody Mary on the strip.” He did a full liquid nitrogen drink demo at our table which was SO COOL!!!
Here are some of the drinks we got to enjoy and their descriptions from the Sugar Factory menu:
White Gummy Goblet
“Gummy worms, gummy worms and more gummy worms! this fresh and fruity cocktail with fresh lemon sour, peach schnapps, bacardi Red and bacardi Razz will be as much fun to drink as it is to fish out the worms.”
Lollipop Passion Goblet
“Our signature goblet is a true taste of the tropics. We have blended together a wonderful mix of melon, coconut, and pineapple with exquisite Midori Melon Liqueur, bacardi Rock Coconut and Ketel one Citroen Vodka to create a taste sensation no one will be able to resist. For the final touch we garnish this yummy goblet of goodness with lollipops.”
Pineapple Cosmopolitan
“Our signature pineapple Cosmopolitan starts off with our very own house-infused pineapple vodka. add a touch of triple sec, cranberry juice and an orange twist and voilà! the perfect Cosmopolitan.”
Blow Pop Martini
“The sour apple blow pop has been a long time favorite flavor for many of us. We have recreated this classic flavor in a martini glass just for you. We mix the delicious flavor of three olives bubble Gum Vodka with apple pucker Liqueur and garnish it with bubble Gum pop Rocks on the rim.”
We also made Greg take a picture with us too 🙂
