I don’t know about you, but the men in my life are very hard to shop. Here are some of the gifts that they or others have loved.
Every dad needs at least one funny tshirt. Here are a couple cute ones from http://www.cafepress.com/+funny-dad+t-shirts
An iPad, iPod, or iPhone is always a good idea. If he doesn’t already own one than this is a great gift. Most men love gadgets and these are of course some of the most fun.
Paint some pottery or make a hand and footprint stepping stone. Most towns have a store where you can pick a piece of pottery and you paint it and than they fire it for you. Putting your kids hand prints on plates or a coffee mug is very cute and most dads would be very proud of that coffee mug at the office. Taking some cement and making a stepping stone with the kids hands and footprints is always something that they will keep forever. My mom still has mine that we made when I was 5.
New BBQ toys! I know that a BBQ is a little cliche for Father’s Day, but there are so many new fun BBQ toys out there now. Like a holder to make beer can chicken (if you haven’t tried this it is delicious and so moist). How about a holder to make your own jalapeno poppers on the grill? What about a fun selection of new BBQ sauces and rubs? Check out a speciality kitchen store for tons of fun items.
For the active dad think about new running shoes or other fun products. How about some supplements, energy gels, and protein powder? Check out the selection of products at BULUBox.com. They have tons of products like GU, Muscle Milk, Cliff, EBoost and much more and this code can get you $10 off with now minimum amount. Use Code: BULUGAN728 They also have a monthly box subscription service which for only $10 a month you can give dad a subscription and he gets 4-5 different samples to try. The code is good for $10 which equals a free month!
A personalized phone case is always a hit. I have done this for my husband now twice and they are by far his favorite presents ever. My favorite site to use to make them is http://www.getuncommon.com/customize/. Uncommmon makes a great product and I have never been disappointed with a case from them and I have made a lot.
A lot of dads will always appreciate a good bottle of scotch, but what about a selection of specialty brews? At Beverages and More and many other stores around the country you can make a mix and match variety pack of specialty beers.
How about cool new pair of shoes for summer? I bought these for my husband and he loves them and I think they look great with shorts or pants and are a fun washed red color. They are made by Timberland and you can buy them at timberland.com. They also have tons of other great shoes if red isn’t your man’s thing. (FYI, these red ones were also featured in GQ, but don’t tell your husband that because than he might not like them than, haha)
Is dad a golfer? How about getting him a round of golf or go in with the wife of his good friend and plan a golfing weekend for them.
Some other ideas are power tools, Starbucks or Home Depot gift cards, a new bicycle, Omaha Steak delivery, baseball game tickets, or anything that interests the dad in your life.
I hope this gave you a few ideas and I hope everyone has a wonderful Father’s Day.
Do you have any awesome gift ideas?
