Facts About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Have you made a St. Jude donation? Curious what St. Jude Children’s Hospital Donations go to pay for? I’m going to answer all your questions including what St. Jude donations pay for, St Jude donation address, how to donate to St. Jude, and how no one pays a bill at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

I made a HUGE commitment to run 50 races in 50 weeks to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. When I visited the hospital campus in Memphis I felt a deep calling inside me to help in a big meaningful way. I will do the running, but I need help from everyone on donations. Here is how your money can help:

175,000 cases of childhood cancer are diagnosed each year. No child should die.

Childhood Cancer Survival FactsFamilies Never Pay at St. Jude Children’s Hospital

When a child is treated at St. Jude, families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all they should worry about is helping their child live.

Are you ready to donate yet?

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%

Infant Care Supplies for 10 Babies: $50
These supplies help parents and nurses care for babies in treatment and include items like diapers, baby bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, footies and heel warmers.

Wagon: $70
When I was at the St. Jude campus in Memphis I was really moved by the little patients in red wagons instead of wheelchairs. Wagons can make traveling through the halls of St. Jude easier for parents and more fun for a young child.

Parties to celebrate birthdays, holidays and “coming off chemo”: $75
St. Jude provides parties, decorations, cakes and more to keep spirits high during the holidays and to celebrate special occasions like birthdays and a child’s completion of chemotherapy treatment.

Delicious Meals: $210
St. Jude provides meal cards so that patients and families can enjoy the comfort and convenience of good, nutritious meals in the Kay Kafe, our cafeteria.

A quote from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital “Our founder believed that “”no child should die in the dawn of life,”” and we’ve spent more than half a century focusing on our mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®”

It will cost approximately $1 billion to operate St. Jude this year. Because more than 75% comes from generous donors, St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most — saving kids regardless of their financial situation.

I’m not raising money to guarantee myself a bib to any of these races or pay for any of my costs. All the running is on me along with some generous races who are helping. So here is the deal, I’ll do the running and you just help end childhood cancer by donating any amount you can

On the donation link it also has information about how to make donations, where to send donations, and all the details you need.
