I ran the Esprit de She 5k in Palo Alto, CA. Β It started at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. Β I got there early enough to pick up my race bib and swag. Β The reusable bag and race tank are both very cute. I would actually use the bag and wear the shirt! Woohoo!
Everything was set up beautifully. Β It wasn’t overly crowded. Β I found parking easily and everyone volunteering was super friendly.
They even had a tent offering massages. Always a plus.
You know it’s a women’s race when the urinals in the port-a-poties have fake flowers in them. haha
The wind had really kicked up by the time we started running.
The course was an out and back on a trail that was paved and than turned into a dirt and gravel trail. It was a nice trail though. In parts it was quite narrow, but still fun. Β There were only about 500 runners.
After the race they had the “Bubbly Tent” where you could get 2 free glasses of champagne or wine. Β Awesome! Β Great touch for a women’s race.
I ran an 8:59 pace and I had a really good time. Β I would definitely run another Esprit de She race and highly recommend this race series.

Haven’t run an esprit de she. Looked it up and not one in my area. Sounds fun though. Love Skechers! Haven’t tried this kind though.
Unfortunately the Espirit de She has never been in my area but I would love it if they would come (hint, hint). The shoes look neat, never tried Skechers for running shoes though. I have a pair that I walk in that are comfy.

This looks like a FUN race! There was one in Denver and I missed as we were on vacation. I will definitely have to make the next one.
I love the t-shirt, I don’t know about you but I’m not thrilled with all of the tech-T’s they’re giving away now-a-days. I hate the way they feel and smell π

I agree with you. I also love and pretty much exclusively run intank tops, so the shirts don’t get worn a lot except for the long sleeves in the winter π

I have tried on the sketchers go run, but haven’t bought a pair. They seem comfy though! I do have a pair of go walk, and love them!

I’ve never run a Esprit de She race. I tried the original Sketcher’s Go Run shoes but not the new ones. I liked the shoes but didn’t end up purchasing them. I’d love to win these!
I haven’t tried either, but I’ve been wanting to! There was an Esprit de She race in Chicago a few weeks ago when we were visiting, but it was the night we were arriving in town and I knew I’d probably never make it in time for the race (which we didn’t).
