Esprit de She 5k Palo Alto Race Recap- #SpiritOfHer

I ran the Esprit de She 5k in Palo Alto, CA.  It started at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening.  I got there early enough to pick up my race bib and swag.  The reusable bag and race tank are both very cute. I would actually use the bag and wear the shirt! Woohoo!

Everything was set up beautifully.  It wasn’t overly crowded.  I found parking easily and everyone volunteering was super friendly.

They even had a tent offering massages. Always a plus.

You know it’s a women’s race when the urinals in the port-a-poties have fake flowers in them. haha

The wind had really kicked up by the time we started running.

The course was an out and back on a trail that was paved and than turned into a dirt and gravel trail. It was a nice trail though. In parts it was quite narrow, but still fun.  There were only about 500 runners.

After the race they had the “Bubbly Tent” where you could get 2 free glasses of champagne or wine.  Awesome!  Great touch for a women’s race.

I ran an 8:59 pace and I had a really good time.  I would definitely run another Esprit de She race and highly recommend this race series.
