Dory “Just keep running” Tank Top and Costume Idea

I had a lot of people ask for more details about my Dory tank top and costume that I created for the runDisney Disney World Marathon Weekend. If you are a fan of the saying “Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming”, you will understand why I created this tank top with the saying “Just keep running, Just keep running.” With the help of my Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut EasyPress 2 I was able to make this costume right at home. It is a perfect tank top for running a marathon, or any distance for that matter.

I used a blue running tank for the shirt. You always want to pick something that you know you can run in. Inside the Cricut Design app I found a font I liked and created the “Just keep running” saying that I wanted to press on to the shirt. TIP: Remember to do the mirror image of it, so when you iron it on it is the correct direction!

I used white Cricut Iron-On for the writing. After my Cricut Explore Air 2 cut out the writing, I weeded it with my Cricut tool that you can get here.

The next part was SO EASY because of the Cricut EasyPress 2. I first pressed the tank top itself to make sure it was wrinkle free. Next I placed the iron-on words where I wanted them.

Once it was in place I used the Cricut EasyPress 2 at 290 degrees for 30 seconds.

It came out so perfect!

It was the perfect addition to the tutu and hat I made. I think marathon runners really appreciate seeing fun sayings like “Just keep running, just keep running” because we need any motivation we can get along the course. (Especially around mile 20).

The Cricut EasyPress 2 comes in a couple sizes. I have the one that is 9″x9″ and I love it.
