Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort Vacation Part 2- Activities and the Disney Beach House

Ok, first let me say that I am so ready to go back to Hilton Head!  If you missed my first post you can read my Disney’s Hilton Head Resort Vacation Part 1 here.

Second, THE DISNEY BEACH HOUSE HAS DOLE WHIPS!  Now that I got that out, let me calmly tell you that the Disney Hilton Head Resort is not directly on the beach.  It is about a mile away, but they have a “beach house” that is on the beach and when you are staying at the resort you get to use these facilities.

The beach house has a pool, locker rooms and a quick service counter restaurant.  At that restaurant they sell pineapple sorbet soft serve, a.k.a. a Dole Whip.

We really enjoyed hanging out at the Beach House. They have a shuttle or you can drive your own car over.

Here is a picture of the Beach House pool.

There are lots of family friendly activities near Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. We went miniature golfing at Pirate Cove. The course is set in beautiful trees with hanging moss.

All of Hilton Head Island has wonderful restaurants and great shopping.  We really enjoyed visiting Sea Pines Plantation.  Down in the Sea Pines shopping area was a really nice park that my daughter loved.  We went horseback riding inside Sea Pines at Lawton Stables.  My daughter rode the pony named Romeo.

We visited Savannah and poked around and ate dinner there one day.  River St. was so cool with all the old buildings.  The drive was easy and only about an hour away from the resort.
