I had a great time this past weekend at Disney World. I attended the Type-A Bootcamp conference on Saturday and then was able to play in the parks a little bit with my family.
I had a new experience though. While in the conference, which was at the Boardwalk Resort, a huge storm was coming through. In the middle of the day there was a tornado warning issued. All of us at the conference were informed of what to do as far as evacuating etc. Ummmm…ya, I’m from California. I’m super prepared for earthquakes and can duck and cover all day long. Door jams and under tables, got it, but a tornado? You lost me. Don’t I need a basement for that or something? Anyways, thank goodness it never came to that. My husband and daughter got stuck in a torrential downpour though and my husband said he has never heard our daughter laugh so hard. She thought running through the puddles…make that rivers, of water was the BEST DAY EVER.
The Type-A Bootcamp was a great conference. Disney Parks was one of the sponsors and the evening party they put on for us was AMAZING. I will be sharing more on this soon so don’t go away.
It is always fun to see friends and make new ones. I got to sit next to Kristin who writes BamaGirlRuns. I love her! My fingers are crossed that next year I’m going to make it out her way to run the Mercedes Benz Half Marathon in Birmingham, Alabama. I see pictures of Kristin and her medal every year and I now officially want to run it.
On Sunday the weather was perfect. We enjoyed Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. I got to see the amazing new Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom and I highly recommend it. It is my favorite Disney World parade to date (excluding Christmas and Electrical Parade). 🙂
The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is currently going on. I want all the Disney character topiaries in my yard, so this is one of my favorite times of year to visit Epcot. I think I will be writing a post more on this.
All in all we had a beautiful weekend at Disney World. My newly 4 year old is at an age that makes Disney World extra magical. Still crossing my fingers that they will let us move into the castle so I don’t have to go back and forth from California all the time. Hehe 😉

Another successful WDW trip for you! You are so very fortunate to be able to visit the arks so often 🙂 Wouldn’t that just be the best to have those topiaries in your yard ♥ My one visit to WDW it poured and it was the first time I ran through WARM rain water… How sweet your princess found it so fun!!!

Haha, welcome to the south, home of the tornadoes 🙂 I’m glad you had a fun time – I’m hoping to make it to a Type A conference soon too!
