Disney Pixar’s Coco Review

Little Monkey and I had the pleasure of attending a press screening of Disney Pixar’s Coco.  The story, the music, the animation, the colors, the characters, and all the tears.  Coco is a must see.  It has important lessons for both young and old, but bring tissues.  It isn’t that the whole movie is sad.  It is more that the whole movie just pulls your heartstrings.  We can all identify with characters in this movie, with the family dynamic, and the importance of supporting one another.

The plot of Coco has many different levels.  Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

Coco is a movie that will make you hug your family close and remind you about what is important.  Here is a new trailer for you of Disney Pixar’s Coco.

Don’t miss Disney Pixar’s Coco when it comes out on Thanksgiving.
