Dear Lily, You are an EXTRAORDINARY kid. #CGC #YourExtraordinaryKid

Preemie Lily

Dear Lily,

You are extraordinary.  You came into this world early weighing in at a whopping 3 lbs 15oz.  In size you may have been tiny, but in spirit you were extraordinary.  Even though you were in the NICU you let your presence be known with your extraordinary lungs.  All the nurses nicknamed you their pocket baby.  You didn’t need any feeding or oxygen tubes which was extraordinary all by itself, but your feisty little personality that went along with your tiny little self was extraordinary as well.  You didn’t waste any time catching up in size to your counterparts.  At your 2 year checkup the pediatrician told me you were “chiseled like the Rock of Gibraltar”.  Your strength is extraordinary.  You probably don’t know this, but sometimes I hide around the corner when you are playing with your dollhouse and just listen to you make your dolls talk to each other.  I am blown away by your extraordinary imagination.  You have such a drive to learn anything and everything.  Your mind is extraordinary.  The sound of your laughter is the most extraordinary sound I have ever heard.  Your goofy sense of humor is truly extraordinary for someone who has only been on this Earth for 4 short years.  I feel so extraordinarily blessed and proud that you, Liliahna Grace, are my extraordinary kid.  I made a video for you about how extraordinary you are.  I love you my little pocket baby…who is now 40 lbs.

Big Squeezey Hugs and Kisses,

Lily Elsa Dress
