Cirque Du Soleil Zarkana at Aria Las Vegas Review- Travel With Half Crazy Mama

Cirque Du Soleil Zarkana was so amazing that I don’t even know how to begin describing it, but here I go…

I recently was on a media tour in Las Vegas and had the pleasure of seeing Cirque Du Soleil Zarkana.  Zarkana is at the Aria Hotel.  We had amazingly perfect center couch seats for the show.  I didn’t know much about Zarkana and wasn’t sure what to expect.  It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.  There was never a dull moment.

Cirque Du Soleil Zarkana features juggling, hand balancing, flying trapeze, wheel of death, sand painting, high wire and much more.  I loved every single act.  They were all equally impressive and visually stimulating.  The colors, the music, the skill involved was all breathtaking.

From the website: “Zarkana is a visual vortex set in a twisted musical and acrobatic fantasy universe where, little by little, chaos and craziness give way to a true celebration.” This is such a great description.

The costumes were so fun.  I read that the inspiration was the American circus sideshows that were popular in the 1930s and the golden age of Coney Island.  There are over 250 costumes in the show and they all had that “modern take” on the look of the 1920s, 1930s and the Art Deco movement.

If you are going to Las Vegas I definitely recommend that you get tickets for Cirque Du Soleil Zarkana.

I picked up this amazing new hat at the Zarkana gift shop, inspired by a character from the show.  I can’t wait to wear this for an awesome costume.

I was given my ticket for the show as part of the media tour with Entertainment New Media Network- Travel Division, but I was not compensated for this post.  All opinions are always my own.
