Princess Half Marathon weekend had a 5k Friday, 10k Saturday and the half marathon Sunday. I, being half crazy, signed up for them all.
I did a trial run the night before of my Elsa (from Frozen) costume to make sure I had everything I needed in one area for the morning. This way I don’t wake up my 3 year old when I’m getting ready.
Friday morning I got up bright and early and boarded my bus to take me to the starting line. When I got there it was me an 10,000 of my closest friends 🙂
It was a beautiful warm morning. I was in corral A, so I made my way over to that area.
The race started and we were off. The course took us through the backstage area and than into Epcot.
I found Mulan and Mushu near China in Epcot.
Dopey was near Germany.
I found Jasmine and Genie in Morocco.
Beast was in France.

It was very humid, but most races in Florida are. The course was the same as the 5k course I ran back In January at marathon week. I had a really great time despite the deja vu.
After the race I waited to take a picture with Cinderella and Prince Charming, since it was HER race after all.
The medal “medallion” is cute. (Only the runDisney 10k distance and up get a metal medal. The 5k and kids races are called medallions because they are rubberized plastic.)
Did you run Cinderella Royal Family 5k?

Your costume is fab!!! I really enjoyed the 5K – although I was upset that I didn’t get the Jasmine pic, her line was just way too long when I got there!

You captured some really great moments and characters!!! I would love to find Beast!!! How long are the lines normally? Time wise…

I love the costume! Can you tell us more about it?

I created this Elsa costume by putting the rhinestones and things on an Under Armour tank top. I got the wig for super cheap off Amazon and I sewed the skirt. I always have a ton of fun putting my costumes together 🙂
