My husband had this old bench before he ever met me. I always loved the style of it, but it was very weathered from being outside. We moved in October and I needed an accent color in our dining room. The drapes are black and while and walls are grey. I decided that the old bench would be perfect.
I got some paint. I picked a fun turquoise color. I love it with the black and white as an accent. I didn’t paint it with lots of coats because I wanted it to still have the weathered look. After it dried I took a couple sheets of sand paper and sanded here and there to give it an even more weathered look. I love how it turned out. I have a couple other frames and furniture pieces that I plan to attack soon too.
Just thought I would share because it was SO EASY and cheap to do.
Do you have anything at home looking for a face lift too?
