Brunch At Club 33

I have dreamed of dining at Club 33 for years, but had never had the opportunity.  Club 33 is the private club inside Disneyland that you can only get into if you are a member or a member makes a reservation for you.  I was planning to head to the 24 hour event for the Disneyland 60th Anniversary kickoff and my awesome blogging friend Beth, who writes “My Adventures In Disneyland“, invited me and our other best blogging friends to lunch at Club 33 for her birthday celebration.  It was amazing!!!

Club 33 recently underwent an extensive renovation.  The entrance is no longer next to Blue Bayou.  The Court of Angels is now behind closed doors and that is the entry way for the club.  

We had a party of 8 and sat right in front of the large window.  It was so fun to sit there and watch the canoes row by on the Rivers of America.

The place settings are beautiful and since it is the only place inside Disneyland that serves alcohol, we celebrated with some champagne.

For the 24 Hour Diamond Anniversary Kickoff, Club 33 was offering a special brunch menu that day. It consisted of 4 courses.

I had the Prime Angus Steak Tartare,

Chilled Melon Soup,

Ruby Red Trout,

and Decadent Chocolate Mousse Cake.

The inside of Club 33 is beautiful with little bits of Disney history.  When you come into the dining room there is a 2 legged table which is from the movie Mary Poppins.

You can go out on the balcony and watch guests in New Orleans Square.

The old lift, that has a rich history of Walt Disney having it brought over from Paris, is no longer in use after the remodel and instead is a sitting area in the lounge.  I was a little sad about that, but I guess the members weren’t very bothered by it?

Random side note, I WANT one of the sinks from the bathroom.  They are so beautiful.  Is that weird?

There are 4 paintings in the hall that leads to the lounge and they slowly change.  For example, you can watch a woman walk though the windows of the Haunted Mansion.

The lounge, which I have heard was designed with a jazz theme in mind, is beautiful with lots of wood work.

A gorgeous piano is in the lounge area.

The only animatronic animal that remains is the vulture.  Perched on top of the clock in the upstairs entryway, he still talks on occasion.

I loved my visit.  I was like a giddy little kid on Christmas.  Dreams come true.  Hopefully I will get to return again one day.
