Big News: I’M GOING TO…….

I am an ambassador for the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon and am being provided hotel as well as the airfare with Air France.  I was not paid for this post.

I am so excited!  I have been sitting on this secret for about a week now.  I have wanted to shout it from the rooftops.  Holy smokes!!! I am going to VENICE, ITALY FOR THE VENICE MARATHON!!! 

Last week I got one of the best emails I have ever received.  After some discussion with my family it was decided that of course I couldn’t turn down this opportunity and next month I will be traveling to Venice, Italy for the Venice Marathon!  This opportunity came to me through my work with the amazing Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon, which is a Conqur Endurance Group event.  

I have never been to Italy and have always wanted to go.  I anticipate doing some serious pasta carb loading!  I can’t wait to spread the gospel of how awesome the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon is to anyone who will listen to me overseas.  Both the Los Angeles Marathon and Venice Marathon offer amazing courses with so much site seeing and both of these races are top notch, in beautiful cities, and have great reputations.  I can’t wait!

Did you know that for the Venice Marathon they actually assemble a pontoon bridge for the runners to run over the Grand Canal? I just learned that in my research.

I am 99% sure that I might have convinced one of my best girl friends to come with me to explore Italy together.  Sometimes traveling with a great friend is the best kind of medicine, food for the soul, and time for reflection a woman can get.  So now I am looking for must-d0’s, tips, and any advice you have on Venice and surrounding parts of Italy?
