The Best Cookbooks- Monday Must-Have’s

I love great cookbooks. Settling in with a cup of tea and a new cookbook is one of my favorite things. I love to try new recipes and also find them inspiring for other ideas.  Here are the best cookbooks for everyone! On this list you will find the best slow cooker, vegan, and even New Orleans style cookbook. (If you click on the links they will take you to the discounted Amazon price)

Let’s start with my favorite New Orleans cookbook, John Besh’s “Besh Big Easy”.  His recipes are delicious and easy to follow.  Besh has a restaurant in Nashville called Marsh House.  It is inside the Thompson Hotel and it is amazing!  If you are in Nashville I highly recommend this place (and the hotel too).

I have given the “Thug Life” cookbook out as a gift a number of times.  It is all plant-based recipes, but your family won’t even notice it is all veggie and no meat.

Martha Stewart cookbooks are always a good bet.  The woman knows how to cook.  I love her “Martha Stewart’s Slow Cooker” cookbook because there are days where there isn’t time in the evening to cook dinner and this way I can start the slow cooker in the morning and have it ready that evening.

“Half Baked Harvest Cookbook- Recipes From My Barn in the Mountains” features delicious recipes that are relatively easy to prepare, contain great ingredients, but are also comfort food.  It is one of my favorite farm to table type cookbooks.

“Veganomicon- The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook” is fantastic.  I love to do meatless recipes a couple times a week.  Your family wouldn’t know these recipes are vegan though unless you told them.  Great hearty recipes in this one, not just salads.

Last, but not least, “The Smitten Kitchen”.  Everything is delicious.  Brown butter rice krispy treats…need I say more?
