Apparently YouTube Shorts Are a Thing—and I’m Loving Them

Confession: until recently, I did not really know YouTube Shorts were a thing.

Of course, I knew about YouTube. I have watched plenty of videos there over the years, but I always thought of it as a place for longer videos, tutorials, and the occasional deep dive into something I suddenly decided I needed to know everything about. Like, it came in clutch when I needed to repair my garbage disposal on my own or how to pop open my key fob to change the battery.

Then I discovered YouTube Shorts, and apparently I have been missing out!

Shorts are quick, fun videos that feel a lot like Instagram Reels or TikTok. Since I already enjoy creating short-form content, I decided to give them a try—and I am really liking it.

It feels like another fun way to share the random mix that makes up my life: running, travel, motherhood, silly dogs, healthy living, funny moments, favorite finds, and the occasionally ridiculous product Little Monkey convinces me we absolutely need.

I am still figuring out exactly what I want my YouTube channel to become, but that is part of the fun. Much like the new chapter here at Half Crazy Mama, I want it to feel fun, limitless, personal, useful, entertaining, and authentically me.

I would love your support as I start growing this new corner of the Half Crazy Mama community. If you enjoy my blog or follow me on social media, please head over to my YouTube channel and subscribe. Subscribing is completely free, but it helps more people discover my videos and lets me know you want to see more.

While you are there, leave a comment and tell me what kinds of Shorts you would like to see. More running tips? Travel adventures? Products I love? Mom life? Funny everyday moments? I am open to ideas!

Thank you for continuing to follow along as I try new things, learn new platforms, and share this next chapter with you.
