I try to avoid running in the middle of the day like the plague, but today my 3 year old was actually willing voluntarily without coaxing to go in the jogging stroller for a run. I’ll take what I can get! I got my new Saucony Kinvara 4s in the mail yesterday from kindrunner.com and was eager to try them out, so out we went at 1:00 in the afternoon.
The first 5 minutes my daughter was yelling at me “Faster mama! Run faster! Faster faster faster!” Than it got very quiet, so I peaked in and she was passed out cold. Hallelujah! That means I get a longer run and she gets a nap. I’m very lucky to have a park with a lake and great trails just a mile from my house. I can do a run that is to the top of the dam of the lake and back for 5.5 miles. It was hot, but a nice run. I was doing some math in my head while running. My daughter weighs 33 lbs. My BOB jogging stroller weighs 25 lbs (I know this because American Airlines made me weigh it to prove to them it was under 30 lbs). I know it burns a few more calories to be pushing 58 lbs around and I’m going to figure out how much one of these days.
I loved my new Saucony Kinvara 4s. I couldn’t really notice any difference from my Kinvara 3 (which is a good thing).
