Things To Do In San Diego

Planning a trip to San Diego? Wondering what to do in San Diego? Beautiful California weather and a large city means there are a lot of options. There are a lot of things to do in San Diego today.  The weather in San Diego make it a perfect destination all year.  There are even plenty of things to do in San Diego with kids. In 2018, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series San Diego events are June 2-3.  I am heading there for the second year in a row and thought I would share the top 10 things to do in San Diego:

1. Liberty Public Market– This market has everything from empanadas to lobster rolls.  It has a ton of different counter service food shops and is absolutely amazing.  There is plenty of seating inside and out to eat all the amazing food too.  Think of a high end food court, but BETTER!  The whole Liberty Station area is beautiful and a lot of fun.

2. Balboa Park – The 5k, half marathon, and marathon all start near Balboa Park.  Come back after and explore all the cool things Balboa Park has to offer.

3. Pacific Beach- PB, as I’ve heard locals call it, is a great area and if you are up for it rent bikes and take a cruise around to discover great shops, beautiful ocean views, and fun eateries.

4. Go On A Brewery Tour- There are a ton of great breweries in San Diego. Pick one that appeals to you and have some fun with friends.

5. Petco Park– Home of the San Diego Padres, the stadium has some fantastic food offerings. Check if there is a game or event when you are in town!

6. La Jolla– Great beach and great area to hangout in.  La Jolla is fantastic for families, but also great if you are just hanging out with your friends.

7. San Diego Zoo– This is a great activity for kids, but also adults!  The zoo is beautiful and could easily entertain people of all ages.

8. Old Town– A little funky and a lot of fun!  Little shops and markets abound in Old Town.

9. Gaslamp Quarter– A fun area in the heart of San Diego to hangout with friends.  Ready to carb load for the race? Hit up Old Spaghetti Factory.

10. Legoland California– Are your kids obsessed with Legos?  A fun theme park with Lego EVERYTHING!  What are some of your favorite places in San Diego?
