I wasn’t always a runner. A matter of fact, I use to hate running. I played soccer and field hockey growing up and running was the punishment. You know, liners, “hit the bells”, sprint drills, starting proctor with a 1.5 mile run. I hated all of that. I understood that running was part of the sport, but I didn’t play the sports because I liked running. I was an adult when I started enjoying running. When my daughter was a baby it was a good way for me to get some exercise in. I could put her in the jogging stroller, enjoy the outdoors and it definitely helped me mentally.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned runner, the benefits of running extend beyond physical fitness, enriching both your body and mind. So lace up your shoes, hit the pavement, and experience the transformative power of running firsthand.
