I am actually feeling REALLY good. I feel better now than after the 10k. My ankle is in better shape. I had it KT Taped and wore my compression socks for the half. I also switched out my shoes for different pair I brought and I think that is what made a big difference.
Tomorrow is the full marathon, my last race. 26.2 miles. I am 3/4th of the way done with the Dopey Challenge race wise, but mileage wise I won’t even be HALF done with the Dopey Challenge until mile 2 of the full marathon! Crazy!
My main goal is just to finish without hurting myself. I need to be able to get on a plane Monday. If my ankle feels good I will just keep truckin. If it starts to bother me again I am planning to switch to the Galloway Method at a 2/1.
I have 3 medals currently and at the end of the full I will get the remaining 3 medals (Goofy Challenge medal for doing the half and full, Dopey Challenge for doing all of them and the full marathon medal.)
On a side note, tonight my family and I went to the “Spirit of Aloha” show at the Polynesian and it was AWESOME! The food might be some of my favorite at all of Disney World and the entertainment was really fun. My 3 year was mesmerized the whole time.
It is currently like a monsoon here. Fingers crossed that blows over by 2:45am when my alarm goes off.
